AUTUMN D. SPAETH received her undergraduate degree in political science from the University of California Los Angeles in 1996, and her law degree from the University of Southern California Law School in 2000, where she was Notes Editor of the Southern California Law Review.  She also received her Master of Arts in Communication Management from the University of Southern California Annenberg School in 2000.  Ms. Spaeth was an associate in the Trial Department of McDermott, Will & Emery before joining Weiland, Golden, Smiley, Wang Ekvall & Strok, LLP, in 2003. 

Ms. Spaeth serves as the Chair of the Commercial Law and Bankruptcy Section and as the Chair of the Resolutions Committee of the Orange County Bar Association.  She is a Central District Lawyer Representative to the Ninth Circuit Judicial Conference.  She is a member of the Orange County Bankruptcy Forum, the Federal Bar Association of Orange County, Association of Business Trial Lawyers, the International Women's Insolvency and Restructuring Confederation, and the William P. Gray Legion Lex American Inn of Court.   Ms. Spaeth was recognized as a Southern California Rising Star by Los Angeles Magazine in 2009 through 2011.

Ms. Spaeth concentrates her practice on business and bankruptcy related litigation.  She is experienced in a wide range of matters including the representation of chapter 7 and 11 trustees, assignees for the benefit of creditors, and receivers.  Ms. Spaeth is also experienced in guaranty defense, partnership disputes and intellectual property litigation.
