REEM J. BELLO received her undergraduate degrees in political science and English literature from the University of California at Irvine in 1995 where she graduated magna cum laude.  Ms. Bello received her law degree from the University of Southern California Law School in 1998 where she was a member of the Hale Moot Court Honors Program.   During law school, Ms. Bello served a judicial externship to the Honorable Alan M. Ahart, United States Bankruptcy Judge for the Central District of California, and a judicial externship to the Honorable Kathleen P. March, United States Bankruptcy Judge for the Central District of California.  Upon graduation, Ms. Bello served a judicial clerkship to the Honorable Kathleen P. March, United States Bankruptcy Judge for the Central District of California.  Ms. Bello was an associate with Arter & Hadden, LLP before joining Weiland, Golden, Smiley, Wang Ekvall & Strok, LLP, in 2002.

Ms. Bello has been named a Southern California Rising Star in 2009 and 2010 by the publishers of Los Angeles Magazine which recognizes the Top Young Lawyers in Southern California.  She is a member of the Arab American Lawyers' Association of Southern California, the American Business Trial Lawyers' Associations, the Federal Bar Association, the Hispanic Bar Association of Orange County, the Orange County Bankruptcy Forum, the Orange County Bar Association, the Orange County Women Lawyers' Associations, and the Women Lawyers' Association of Los Angeles.  She is also actively involved in her community's public school system by serving as a member of the Oso Grande School Site Council and by volunteering weekly to assist teaching language arts and math in the classroom.

Ms. Bello concentrates her practice on insolvency related matters representing chapter 11 debtors, creditors, and trustees.  She is also experienced in a wide range of bankruptcy related litigation.
